Marvellous does not even come close, I have just polished off THE most delicious cake I have ever tasted. So tasty in fact I could not wait until morning to tell you lovely Pocketful of Dreams readers all about it.
I met The Marvellous Tea Dance Company ladies at todays Vintage Wedding Fair in Harrogate, their pop-up tea room was so enticing but I was very good and resisted temptation to stuff my face there and then, opting instead to take away two lovely slices of cake to have at home. And boy am I glad I did.
The two slices in question included a classic Victoria Sponge, complete with glittery strawberries and perfect for little old me. Plus a manly portion of the Guinness Cake for Mr Dreams. Well! I have to say my greedy eyes got the better of me and after one little forkful of Mr Dreams’s slice I made him share half with me (of course sharing half of mine with him, I’m not a total Miss Piggy).
Simply the most delicious cake I have ever eaten. FACT.
I am still drooling, you just have to check these ladies out. They offer an authentic Tea Dance experience complete with patterned bunting, pretty embroidered tablecloths, crocheted doilies, vintage gilt mirrors, fairy lights and plenty of those delicious cakes as well as sandwiches and tea served in the cutest vintage china.
Check out their website for forthcoming events or a quote for your own Vintage Tea Dance, I guarantee your guests will be talking about these cakes for months, even years to come!
