I have a lovely engagement shoot to show you today that is so relaxed and laid-back and the couple actually chose to be photographed in their home. I think this is a fab idea, as not only will you feel truly comfortable in familiar surroundings but it will also give you a lasting memory of the times spent together in your home before marriage.
And what a lovely home they have, Amy and Tim clearly have their own unique style and as their photographer Komal of Powell Pictures told me a love of vintage. “It is evident in her look, in their home decor as well as their upcoming wedding which I will also be photographing. So I wanted to do some of their engagement session inside the couples Texas cottage. The second location was at the Ft. Worth Botanical Gardens and the third was in and around vintage stores that a lot of their wedding decorations have come from.”
Komal added “Tim and Amy are a super couple! Pretty much love at first sight because they got engaged only months after knowing one another! Being the first vendor they hired I have been involved with the wedding planning–offering my help and advice whenever asked and I’ve notice such sweet and engrossing love between Tim and Amy. First time I have ever met a man so involved with planning their wedding as Tim. It is really clear that he is sincerely interested in Amy and everything she loves. The more and more I met with Tim and Amy the more I learned that Amy’s aesthetic was very similar to mine and we both were very excited about this engagement shoot. We both had lots of ideas for the shots and locations of this day and Tim was down for it all!
