A Beautiful Hawaiian Island Wedding {Part 1} ~ Kristen and Justin

by

Happy Monday morning,

Was your weekend fun-filled and fabulous? I do hope so. If you’ve been craving a little wedding eye candy over the weekend then I have a music-to-your-ears medley of wonderful weddings to share with you this week. I know I’ve bleeted on enough now about the fact that my first wedding as a planner is taking place on Friday, that’s THIS Friday, eek, it’s all very exciting and nerve-wracking all at the same time. I am counting down the hours and bursting for it to be Friday already.

Anyway the blog will still be filled with wedding eye-candy, I just won’t be around very much to chat and join in the chatter – but please do still leave your comments as I’ll be back in full force next week and have some exciting things in store….I just need another 15 hours in each day and I’ll be all set to make them happen. ;)

So back to today’s wedding, I just adore it, pure and simple adore. It is beautifully intimate with so many cute and gorgeous vintage inspired details and a truly stunning setting. It’s almost epic proportions for how amazing this setting actually is.

Captured by Melissa Dunstan Photography, the wedding of Kristen and Justin took place in Kauai, Hawaii. Melissa shared the details of the day: “I had the honor of photographing Kristen and J’s intimate wedding in Kauai this spring. I remember flying over the South Pacific and already falling in love with this beautiful island.

The bride found all the unique glasses in various antique shops in Kauai. The vintage postcards were used in lieu of a guest sign in book. All guests wrote down messages to be read by the couple on their one year anniversary.

Kristen and J chose a private residence for their ceremony and the property was just seeping with it’s own charm and loveliness. The talented Kim Duncan of KD Event Designs was the event designer for this charming event, and she made this outdoor event elegant and beautiful. The property had a beautiful lawn so Kim choose a fairytale like tree to host the intimate reception dinner. She also designed all the paper products for the event including the menus, place cards and table markers. (This is one talented lady).

Kristen’s ring was hand made by Jeff Karl Jewelers from a design the groom made. The diamonds from the rings were J’s Grandmother’s diamonds from her own wedding rings. Melissa said “I love recycled diamonds, and feel like the sentimental meaning behind them really add a layer of love.”
