Earlier today I featured Part 1 of this lovely, sentimental wedding, with a shabby chic vibe and filled with the most gorgeous vintage family heirlooms. It was very special and now for {Part 2}…….
Good advice
Tim: “Future brides and grooms should remember the most basic of rules: respect each other and everything else will fall into place. Also, grooms, don’t be afraid to help your bride out with some planning and wedding prep
”
Amy: “Wow, I could not have done this without the incredibly diligent help, kind patience, and love of my now husband. The person you marry should be your friend and partner first, everything else is built from this basic foundation – including love!”
Funny Memories
Tim: “The funniest memory was easily when my best man (and DJ!) Adam gave a wonderful toast. In it, he read from an e-mail just after our first date. I was responding to Adam’s question about how the date went, and my response was something like, “It went amazingly well. Too good to be true. She must be an alien.” I’d forgotten about that e-mail, and so I was happy that everyone at the reception broke out into laughter and got a kick out of it”.
Amy: “My funniest memory was coming over to our friends table and finding everyone already referring to my uncle Wayne as “Lil Wayne!” I was happy to see that Wayne, who is the cut-up of the century, and a Harley-riding, guitar-playing prankster, was having a blast with our friends”.
Would they change anything?
Tim: If I could do it all over, I might plan to have a longer reception, because everything went by in a flash. I was so preoccupied with talking to everyone and ironing out the last details, I didn’t have enough dance time!
Amy: Absolutely agreed!
Honeymooning
Tim: We went to Santa Fe – one of our favorite vacation spots. Amy grew up going to Santa Fe with her family, and I’ve been delighted to become part of their family and join in on their Santa Fe trips.
Amy: We’ve been living it up at the La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe. We’ve been doing everything from hiking the Atalaya mountains to lounging on our patio balcony. We’re getting pampered with room service, curling up in front of our fireplace at night, and getting relaxing spa treatments. The beautiful Santa Fe Plaza, shops, and museums are just a few steps from our hotel – it’s a paradise for the nature and art enthusiast and especially us!
Oh I do love a good twirly dress picture!
