About the blog

Pocketful of Dreams is a UK lifestyle blog all about providing ~ Inspiration for love, life and living.

Headed by event planner, stylist and creator Michelle, I’m a girl with an eye for detail and a love of entertaining. I believe every event should be one-of-a-kind and a true reflection of you and I love those that are stylish and timeless with a twist of personality and a whole heap of fun.

But I’m not just all about events, I also have a passion for great food, fabulous interiors and I am eternally on the hunt for stylish finds.

The Pocketful of Dreams blog is updated daily with inspiring ideas, styling tips and planning advice for fabulous events. Mixed in with my general thoughts and musings on life as a 30-something female in the throes of establishing my own business. Here you’ll find:

♥ Inspiration: From mood boards to styling ideas to that dream find I just had to share. I hope to inspire you with creative, unique and often quirky ideas.

♥ DIY: I’m a crafting geek, I love pretty paper and things tied up with string. Every week I share a new idea, a pretty project or a fab tutorial so you can get your craft geek-on too.

♥ Planning: I like to think I know a thing or two about planning the perfect event, and the things I don’t know, well I usually know someone that does. So here you’ll find plenty of event planning advice and resources, from me and guest experts, to make the journey fun and stress-free, be it a wedding you are planning or an intimate dinner-party.

♥ Dream Team: My Dream Team is exactly what it says on the tin. The best people in the business, those who have that creative edge and spark of brilliance. I only feature those I know to be amazing as I want my recommendations to be honest and from the heart. Basically I love these guys.

♥ Real Stories: Lots of real weddings, parties and inspiring stories of how other people have planned their own stylish event.

♥ Life: We all have our own story of the life we’ve lived, what has shaped us and made us who we are today. I share a little insight into me and my life, sometimes it’s deep, other times I’m just talking about pretty wallpaper and new shoes.

♥ Style: Like most women I love everything about fashion and beauty, I don’t claim to be any kind of expert in this department but I do love to shop. So here you will find my LookBook featuring ideas and inspiration for bridal fashion as well as my what-to-wear party picks. I also have a fab team of talented hair and make-up experts sharing their expertise in the hair and make-up department.

About the girl

Hi I’m Michelle and I’m so pleased you’ve dropped by my little corner of the blogosphere. I love to blog and I love how these white pages allow me to share my ideas for party planning and event styling with the world.

My North~West based wedding planning and styling business Pocketful of Dreams Events will be launching very soon and I feel very lucky to be following my dream and living a creative, inspired life.

Individuality, unexpected surprises, laughing with friends, vintage and unique finds, beautiful presentation, inspiring people, sitting in the sun, getting crafty with DIY projects, feeling relaxed and having fun. Drinking frappucinos although coffee makes me a litte shaky. And really, really good food.

Run-of-the-mill and cheesy, people who are rude for no reason, traditions and expectations, stuffy function rooms, poor mass-produced food, chair sashes.
