Modern Love: A cool and contemporary wedding in the Cotswolds

To create a clean and contemporary, modernist celebration with a mid-century modern influence, referencing the couples love of Scandinavian style and culture.

This modern-minded couple sought support from the team at Pocketful of Dreams to create the vision of their dreams. Both in the midst of setting up their own lifestyle enterprises they had a strong appreciation for thoughtful design and creativity yet they lacked the time to dedicate to their day.

We worked with them to devise a unique and artful day, taking their blank-canvas venue and transforming it into a space that felt 100% representative of their own style sensibilities.

Design touches included a letter-pressed stationery suite with branded monogram, neon lighting as a nod to their modernistic lifestyle, origami influences subtly weaved throughout the day, a strong colour palette, an edison lighting canopy installation alongside a showpiece hanging paper creation to add wow-factor to the reception space. Carefully chosen furniture and linens to complement the design and pared-back, organic and minimalist florals with a nordic influence.

The Pocketful of Dreams team sourced and managed a dream team of suppliers to bring their vision to life, overseeing the onsite build and ensuring the seamless flow of their cool and contemporary wedding weekend.

“We worked with Michelle for almost a year and a half, carefully planning each stage of our wedding and despite thinking we’re pretty organised, creative people ourselves, we absolutely couldn’t have had the wedding we did, had it not been for Michelle’s expertise. I like to think of Michelle as the’Wedding Oracle’, her extensive knowledge is so useful and incredibly calming. Right from the minute go, she totally understood what we wanted to create and found the perfect solution to make it happen.” Rachael and Alex
