An Intimate Rehearsal Dinner at Cornwell Manor

An evening of firelight, fine food and quiet joy beneath the apple trees

The evening before our couple welcomed their international guests to the Cotswolds, their celebrations began with something beautifully understated: a relaxed, open-air rehearsal dinner in the orchard of Cornwell Manor, bringing together close friends and family for a soulful celebration of love, laughter and countryside simplicity.

The Setting

Cornwell Manor’s 18th-century chapel, tucked within the estate’s rolling parkland, set the scene for a heartfelt blessing for our couple.  Surrounded by their nearest and dearest, guests wandered through the gardens into the sun-dappled orchard where a long dining table awaited beneath swaying boughs and twinkling lights.

The Celebration

Dinner unfolded in true alfresco style, a relaxed, sensory feast cooked over open flames by Salsa Rose Catering, the London-based culinary collective known for their vibrant menus, asado grill theatre, and ingredient-led cooking.

The tablescape drew inspiration from the orchard itself, with soft fruit tones, woven textures and striped artisan linens hand-sourced from Italy. Wild garden florals, gathered in loose, natural arrangements, echoed the palette of the surrounding landscape, while flickering candles and fire pits created warmth as the evening drew in.

Guests lingered late into the night, wrapped in blankets beneath the Cotswold sky, enjoying fine wine, laughter and the anticipation of the celebration to come.
