A Bride Tribe Bridal Blessing

A traditional Jewish Mikvah and Bridal Circle

We curated a very special Bridal Blessing, for our bride-to-be Anoushka on the evening of her wedding.

The bride tribe gathered by the lake at Wilderness Reserve to hold space, to support and to take the journey with Anoushka as she transitioned into the journey of marriage. The bridal blessing included an ancient Jewish ritual called a Mikvah, alongside a meditation circle with all those gathered.

A Mikvah calls upon Women to purify themselves in a ritual bath in order to cleanse, releasing any last parts they choose to not bring forward. So on the eve of her wedding, Anoushka’s bride tribe gathered along side her, dressed in white and began their descent in sacred silence to the lake. There they sat in circle, and were led through a meditation + blessing ceremony.

Afterwards the bride tribe gathered together for a beautiful picnic as the sun set over the gardens of Sibton House at Wilderness.
